Indian, Motorcycle of the Day
1947 Indian Chief. Unrestored and as I found it 2 years ago. The bike ran when I bought it but I have not run since. It has been sitting in my climate controlled shop since I bought it. I bought from second owner who owned since 1960.....I have paperwork and copy of 1960 title from when I purchased bike in 2016. Vin # stamping is as clear and deep as can be and I highly doubt the engine has ever been open. As you can see, its real....it leaks, and ... read blog

First year Scout! Mostly original paint!! 1920 Indian Scout Engine Number: 56R115 Following the end of World War I, overall motorcycle sales were disappointing, especially at Indian. Relying too heavily on lucrative military contracts, the company left their dealerships hanging for several years and didn't introduce any new motorcycles. What the company offered was the spring cradle framed Powerplus. Its performance was adequate but the bike had ... read blog

Indian, Motorcycle of the Day
I bought this bike about 6 years ago and was told by its then owner, "it has a newly rebuilt motor and runs like a top." Nothing could have been further from the truth (or even if it was true, the motor was restored entirely wrong -- something that you wouldn't know but could cost you your life). Just 65 miles into my owning the bike, the motor blew on the freeway. Which started my odyssey in making sure this bike was rebuilt 100 percent correctly. ... read blog

Older restoration, taken out of storage late 2017. Changed oil, hooked up battery and started right up, high compression, strong motor. leather bags and seats were always stored inside. Ran through the gears after starting up. It is 99% complete, it has a few issues from long term storage that don't affect performance and I factored that into the starting bid. These include some light surface oxidation , minor paint quality, non working generator ... read blog

1953 Indian Chief Matching Engine/Frame numbers - The last number on the frame is obscured by paint/age and is very hard to make out. I believe it is a "5" same as the engine, however, I didn't want to try and clean out that area and risk damage. You can see the numbers in the pictures. Speedometer says 8,945 miles, but can't say for sure what the actual mileage is. Odometer readings weren't recorded on the historical invoices I received. Lots of ... read blog
