This is my 1947 FL that I bought when I was a college student in the late 60s in Salt Lake City. The bike was ridden from Cal. to SLC and traded in to the harley dealer for a new 1969 Shovelhead. My roomates father worked at the dealership (Cris Drayer HD) and told me about the bike. I ended up selling my 1946 Indian Chief and buying the Harley. The bike was ridden all over the Western US and in 1981 I moved to Florida and took the bike with me. About 6,298 miles ago the engine and transmission was removed and rebuilt. The bike has the optional M75 carb instead of the M35 which had a little smaller venturi. All chains and sprockets have been replaced. The sheetmetal is nice and the tanks are the correct one year only tanks. The bike has a Florida title in my name and is ridden on a regular basis. The paint is silver and looks a bit washed out in the pictures, but is a very nice silver with rocker boxes, cam cover and kicker cover done in a silver hammertone powdercoat. The frame is a nice uncut 47. The bottom numbers match and the Vin. number is a clear correct FL 47--------. If you have questions my email is oldmotorcycles39@gmail .com.
