Video Link*May take a second to load if you are on mobile!* This historic Harley Davidson XLCR – was produced between 1977 and 1979. The bike was designed by a committee of three people: Bob Modero (an engineer at Harley) Jim Haubert (an independent Skunkworks contractor) and Willie G. Davidson. This stock and unmolested original 1000 cc, 4 speed features a bikini fairing, slim front fender, reshaped fuel tank, pillion-free saddle, Twin Showa shocks and a unique “siamesed” two into two exhaust. It’s rated for a top-speed of 120+ mph, has over 65hp and is @ full torque at 3,750 rpm. The XLCR was Willie G’s one and only brush with the cafe racer set, taking parts from the XR750 flat track racer, Morris MAG wheels and he created a classic for all time.“… the XLCR may be one of the most appealing bikes of the decade, a combination of two of the strongest profiling elements on two wheels — big, thundering Harley-Davidsons and sleek, kinetic-looking café racers."— Cycle Guide, July 1977 Here’s what some of our many customers have to say about Kaplan Cycles!“I bought five motorcycles from Ken and plan to buy more.
