Up for sale 1974 (collectible year) Norton with a little over 2,800 original miles. Insured appraised value $25k (2014). Serious offers will be considered prior to end of auction. History: the bike was purchased from the original owner after it won first place for best restored motorcycle at the 2007 Detroit Autorama in it's first showing. The first owner bought the bike new in 1978 (all documented), took it home with 8.5 factory test miles on it and parked it in his collection but never registered it or rode it. In 2006, he decided to ride it for the first time. He fully restored it using aluminum tank and side covers fabricated by the master Evan Wilcox and fitting a Corbin seat. The front brake was updated and Boyer ignition replaced the points. Any perished parts were replaced with OEM Norton parts when possible. MK III isolastics were installed and stainless fasteners were used in critical areas. Within few months he became ill and passed away never having ridden it. The bike was ...

Hello, regretfully I am selling my 1963 Norton Atlas project to help fund a new business that I am starting.I acquired it about 2 1/2 years ago and have been restoring parts along the way. Itís not complete but has had some major steps taken care of towards its completion. The final details and assembly will be up to you. The engine was rebuilt by Dick at DJ's speed shop in Portland. He is a reputable British motorcycle mechanic and has been building bikes here for decades. It has been set up with a Boyer electronic ignition in place of the Lucas Magneto. It is bench timed and should be plug and play. The engine has not been run in since the rebuild, it's brand new and probably better than the day it rolled out of the dealer. Some detailing still remains. The Roadholder forks have been rebuilt with new seals and bushes from Clubman racing, original springs were retained. The frame and misc other parts have been powder coated satin black, the swingarm has new bushes installed. the tank ...

Hello and welcome to the auction of my beautifully restored 1953 Norton Manx. I purchased this bike thinking it may be a recreation or replica but to my amazement and research using two of the foremost Manx experts in England which have both verified through pictures and frame/engine numbers that this Manx is in fact a genuine 1953 Norton Manx 500cc longstroke. Email correspondence of these verifications will be supplied to the winning bidder. As you can see in the pictures, this bike needs nothing but a new home. I am available and happy to show the bike to interested parties. I can only accept wire transfer or cash in person. Local Pickup is encouraged as I'd hate to trust this with an unknown shipper. A notarized bill of sale will be provided with the bike as well as the bill of sale from the previous owner. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Andy 847 849 7660 Thank you and happy bidding! Don't forget, this auction will end next Thursday night at 11:30 PM central time! ...

I picked this 68 Norton Commando up in Texas and am selling it as is. The motor, frame and transmission have matching numbers. This is the 1st year Norton Commando and there aren't a lot of them out there...nice project for a Norton or British bike collector Frame number 127336Engine number 20M3/127336Transmission number 127336 The top end is missing and the only parts that are included is the rolling bike and the extra parts on the floor. If I don't show it then its not included. The 1968 Commandos had frames that were weak and were usually modified to strengthen them as this one has been. The correct tank and tail piece are available on Los Angeles Craigslist if you're interested. Not from me though Please call with any questions and before you pay for the bike after purchasing 951-992-9839 I am not a Norton expert and am describing it as best I can, the pictures are part of the descriptionAll sales are final. I will work with you on shipping, but all arrangements and costs are buyers ...

Up for sale is an excellent condition Norton 750 Commando. Bike was purchased in this style about 15 years ago by my family. Restored about 10 years ago with some tasteful upgrades such as steel braided lines, SS wheel spokes, reproduction seat, powder coated frame, etc. After restoration, it was discovered that the VIN falls outside the manufacture dates of an "S" Norton 750. So this is a matching numbers, Commando 750 with "S" badging and high pipes essentially. That, however, does not take away from the fact that it an excellent example of Norton Tradition. New top end was completed in the last 2 years due to a broken oil ring. In addition to new JCC Pistons and Hastings rings, new Black Diamond valves, Bronze Guides and KibbleWhite Springs and Seals were installed. Top end has a couple hundred miles on it. Metal Flake paint is flawless and gas tank was restored and the inside coated for protection. Amal carburetors are newer and were recently rebuilt with genuine Amal parts. Tires ...

This exceptional 1975 Commando is ready for the next bike show. It was purchased new in 1977 from Donelson Cycles in St. Louis, MO., and comes with the original dealer paperwork. Its early history isn't known but it was acquired in December of 1983 by a well-known member of the Norton Owners Club. This 850 was to be a no-holds-barred restoration to be enjoyed in his retirement years. It began with a thoroughly documented disassembly, which he as he inspected the condition and dimensions of each part, as well as the routing of wires and cables. He then amassed a store of NOS parts that are now almost impossible to obtain, such as brand-new handlebar switches. The restoration moved at a leisurely pace, with every critical part being checked, restored, and documented prior to installation. The correspondence with various parts suppliers and receipts for parts tell a marvelous story. Here is a partial listing: -Crank magnafluxed, reground 0.010Ē, polished, new races, balanced to 64% -Magnafluxed ...

This one of a kind restoration is an exact, factory spec Norton AJS Stormer. It was restored for the love of the bike, and was shown in many shows on the east coast, and won every time. Straight from the good old days of Motocross! There are no other AJS out there that even come close to this one! Accredited with an outstanding desert racing reputation, this bike was state of the art in the early 70s, and dominated in the dirt as well. The rich history of these English race bikes with this thorough, professionally done restoration make for great conversations, a few trophies on the mantle, or a spot in a museum.

ďOne of the original Desert Sleds. 40,000 miles. I have ridden this bike to Tofino, BC and to St. John's, Nfld. and back from NS. If you're ready for adventure, it's ready to go again. Uses 1 liter oil/500 miles. Runs like a top. I put 2000 miles on the bike this last summer with no problems other than a couple of fasteners vibrating loose. Bike is stock except for Boyer Branston electronic ignition, Barnett clutch, K&N air filter, Comfort seat and 8" risers. New: brake pads, clutch and speedo cables, steering head bearings. Lots of spares. Maintenance file. Price is in USD. Never owned by Steve McQueen.
