This is basically a one owner bike, same owner since 1976. Engine was rebuilt from the crank up a handful of years ago and had very little use since. Bike was stored in a shed so the chrome didn’t hold up well. Ton of money spent on the engine rebuild, the trans was gone through as was the clutch etc. with a battery this bike fires right up and runs excellently. All the wiring is original and has not been messed with or changed. This is a matching numbers bike that is mechanically and electrically very sound. It is the perfect candidate for a restoration and can be done very cost efficiently. With a fresh paint job, new exhaust and bars, hardware etc this is a 7-8000$ bike. Very easy project for someone who has time and patience and could actually makeMoney after it’s comleted. Bike has a clear title. Again, mechanically a sound bike. Spend some time with this baby and it could be a very nice and presentable bike. All the expensive stuff has been done

1972 Norton Commando 750 with matching frame and engine numbers. It looks to be fairly original, but I am no expert. It has a NOS seat, new Amal carbs and new intake rubbers. About the only thing negative I could find with it is one pea size ding on the left muffler. Also has a couple of light scratches and a couple of small chips in the paint. The previous owner only rode it once a month on average. The only thing this bike needs is a fluid change and someone to enjoy riding it. There is clear Texas Title, the title says it's a 73 Norton but it was made in 72 and sold in 73. I can also provide a notarized bill of sale, upon request. $500 non-refundable PayPal deposit due within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Remainder due in Cash, certified bank check or bank money wire transfer within 7 days. I will not release the bike until check has cleared my bank. New owner is responsible for all shipping costs and logistics. I can assist with the loading if needed. I live near the Port of ...

Filled a 52 foot trailer that went to the East Coast and now I am going to sell my motorcycles I have left. I do not want to use my new knees on starting my kick start vintage bikes. I am selling my motorcycles "AS-IS" because I want to go have fun and I have had a good run with screwing with my old bikes. Bought a new Morgan three-wheeler and that is the next stage in my life. Bought the Commando in 1993 in Colorado where I used to live. I kept the 850 because it is all original and has enough patina that I am not scared of screwing it up cosmetically and I like the road rash on the tachometer. It has not been ran in over 10 years. Did a compression ...

Just removed from long time storage. Previous owner said the engine ran before bike was disassembled to paint many years ago and bike was never totally reassembled but was put into storage. Paint is scratched up from things being piled up on it as seen in the pictures. The engine is the very desirable Norton Matchless hybrid engine run built in 1965. Title is lost and not in DMV system but will come with a California Bill of Sale. What you see is what you get. Buyer is responsible for shipping. UPDATE It was brought to my attention that because of the G15/CSR designation, this engine and tranny was born on a Matchless Factory Cafe Racer so I have corrected the description to reflect this. Do your own homework to verify.
