This is not just any Commando that's been modified with Dunstall Parts. This bike was dispatched from the Norton factory October 31, 1968 and sent to Dunstall UK where it received the Dunstall conversion. It is believed to be the first Norton Commando 750 Dunstall to leave his shop and it's probably the only documented 1968 Dunstall Commando in existence. The original build sheet addressed to a guy in Michigan and it's dated February 26, 1969. The bike was originally ordered with twin leading shoe brake (TLS) in the front but the owner later regretted not ordering it with the twin Lyster front disc brakes. He later sourced the Lyster brake system which is currently on the bike. The TLS front wheel is included if the buyer chooses to convert it back to TLS. However the Lyster system was a PD option back in 1968 69 and was included in the 1969 parts catalogue (page 9). You will also see a picture from a motorcycle magazine in the UK probably 1969 or 1970 showing a Dunstall like this one. ...
