This is a great example of a true British classic:The 1971 BSA Thunderbolt A65 twin in original color and unmolested condition with 19k miles on the clock. If you want a show bike, this might not be for you.If you want something interesting and different, that needs a little tlc, read on. It's been with us for a year and mostly used in photo shoots, shows, films and promo videos. It's all in original condition as far as I can see. No signs of chopping, grinding, just not used since 1979 [last tags on plate].As well as it's original condition, one of it's greatest features is the "Patina": nicely worn in with signs of usage and a lot of feel. The tank has scratches on one side and the seat is ok, has a couple of 2" rips that have been taped. It could be reupholstered in time. It's been on the bench as a project recently but moving soon so no time to complete it. The aim was always to revive it and bring it back to life, not tear it apart to chop it or cafe race etc...The imperfections are ...

Ground up restoration on this early BSA twin carb Lightning! This now rare machine was subject to an extensive restoration at Baxter Cycle in Marne, Iowa. The bike was completely dismantled and with each component rebuilt, refurbished or replaced as needed. Just look at the paint and the depth of the chrome! It's in stunning condition. All in all, on offer here is a true British classic, usable and easy to own and ride, offered in a condition that makes it eligible for any concours event. Engine had a complete rebuild with sludge tube cleaned, new bearings and bushing, throughout. Top end is all new with fresh pistons, rings, valves, guides, and springs. All new paint and powder coat on the chassis with rebuilt wheels, new tires, and new wheel bearings. Carburetors are new Amals (we choose to run Concentrics over the original Monoblocs). Sparks are provided electrically with a Wassell unit (goodbye, points and condensors!) and all charging has been upgraded to higher output, solid state ...

Purchased in England in 2006 and shipped to the US. Needed some work on the engine, so installed bronze valve guides, timing side bushing, and bearings which is why the cylinder and head have been painted. Rest is as found, paint seems to be original, or very old touch up. Tires were new when I got it, and have only traveled 160 miles. Gas tank is solid, no rust, leaks or liner. Oil tank had pin holes in bottom that were soldered over, and is now solid. Brakes are good (as well as 1952 technology provided, anyway), horn and speedometer work, lights work, ignition switch is not original but, rest of bike seems original. A fine example of a 1950's British motorcycle in un-restored condition. Here's a video of it running. https://www.youtube. com/watch?v=Ydop8R0 SnA&t=31s

No title non matching numbers. I spent quite a bit of time tracking down parts for this. Reproduction seat, rear mudguard, tank styling strip and wire harness. Unknown 3 into 1 exhaust. New SS exhaust roses. Many NOS parts. Zero mile tires, tubes and rim liners. New SS spokes. Polished SS front brake link and levers. Tires are beginning to crack. Almost all there except for original headlight mount and bucket, Engine is free and Trans shifts through all gears. Please note they both have been drained and new oil filer installed. Broken fin on left side of head.
